The Dark Knight 2008

The sequel of the 2006 Batman Begins is to be shown in 2008 though the title “The Dark Knight” might change. The Batman Begins director Christopher Nohan will still direct the sequel and of course Christian Bale will still act as Batman. The villain will be Batman’s archenemy the Joker, will be played by Heath Ledger that will spice up the upcoming The Dark Knight movie.

The Batman Beyond Project:

Set fifteen years after the conclusion of the Batman Beyond series, the truth of Terry’s life was revealed. Amanda Waller, head of a genetic engineering project funded by the government believe that a Batman will always be needed not only in Gotham but also the world. Because of these Project Batman Beyond was set in motion, where Amanda uses the Cadmus nanotechnology and a sample of Bruce’s DNA to produce a virus that will pattern Bruce’s trauma and DNA to Terry. The virus was injected to Terry’s father and an assassin was hired to kill Terry’s parents. The assassin was Bruce’s former fiancé, as she remember what the tragedy made Bruce’s sacrifices, she aborted the assassination. But the death of Terry’s father started the new Batman saga as Terry tried his very best to stop crimes in Gotham City. In the end of the episode Terry propose a marriage to her girlfriend Dana. The end of Batman Beyond shows the life that Bruce never has as Terry do his part as a family man and a superhero at the same time.

Batman and Beyond

Batman is one of DC comic’s most popular character. It was created by Bob Cane and Bill Finger and first appeared in Detective Comics (DC Comics) 27th issue in May 1939.

The Batman character became popular to the world mainly because of all DC Superheroes, Batman is the only main hero that has no special power and only uses his wits and human strength to overcome every battle he encounter daily. One thing that drives Bruce to fight senseless crimes is the memory of his parent being shot (that is one reason Batman doesn’t use guns) in front of him.

Bruce Wayne a multi billionaire playboy and a loner used his batman costume along with his utility belt that contains weapons that he needs to fight crimes in Gotham City. Being a billionaire Bruce has the resources to buy the most sophisticated computer and most advance machineries that he needs to fight villains that gave Gotham a bad image to the world. The batman superhero image gave readers the imagination that even normal people can be a superhero and the gadgets gave flavor to the story aswell.

The second to the last Batman cartoon series ever shown was Batman Beyond, that focus on the future of Gotham City and of course Bruce Wayne. Being a normal person Bruce Wayne has aged and was once forced to use gun to save his life for having a heart attack during one of his typical night (combating crime). Because of this Bruce has stopped being Batman. Terry McGinnis a troubled teen ends up being the next Batman after accidentally discovering the bat cave when he help Bruce after helping him getting rid of the jokers street gang. Terry now uses all the gadgets and weapons to fully become the new Batman, while Bruce assists and teach him how to use those weapons to combat evil.

The new age batman also produces new age villains that are more powerful than the other villains of batman cartoon series. Some of the villains are:

1. Mr Freeze

Victor Fries head was preserved in a tube as scientist tried to turn him to normal. But the experiment failed and he needs to find a new body armor and become Mr. Freeze again.

2. Spellbinder

A psychologist named Ira Billings uses hypnotic light that feeds the victim with fantasies and sometimes nightmares to control them to rob rich personalities including Bruce Wayne.

3. Inque

A metamorphic mutant that uses her skill to accomplish anything that her client ask her to accomplish. Often times Inque was always hired by Mr. Powers.

4. Blight

Mr. Derek Powers is the corrupt head of Wayne Industry. Being exposed to a virus that is supposed to be delivered to warring nations, Mr. Powers become a radioactive skeleton like creature that that can melt steel by his radioactive high temperature radiation.

5. The Royal Flush Gang

They are Bruce old enemy involved in crimes since as long as they remembered. They return to kill the new batman and to continue their crimes. The Royal Flush Gang is consist of the King who lead the team and also an expert swordsman, The Queen who is the Kings wife that uses an electric staff, Ace a silent large robot that has enormous strength, Jack is a typical villain and Number 10 is the electronics expert. Together they become one of Batman’s formidable enemy.
